Banning Books

Banning books is not a good thing. People who ban books are the ones who are not letting other people read books because of certain things that are inside of the book. But banning books is not going to help anyone if the things inside the book are banned. They're riddculing the people who have yet to come across the books that they're banning!! I may not a parent, but if I was I would not let my kids read mature books until they were at least fourteen or fifteen years old. And by mature, I mean things like what is in The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. Teenagers need to know things like that and if they are depressed, using drugs, drinking alcohol, experiencing / anything with sex, they could relate to the things in Perks. Banning books like The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and so many other books that are related to that and also many, many books in general, is a little wrong to me because the people who ban those kinds of books are keeping the rest of us from reading, from something we might actually relate to and banning something like that is not something you should actually be proud of. They are keeping us and other readers and other book lovers away from what we think might / could be a really good book those who actually like a certain type of genre and other things! By banning books, you're basically keeping people from a world that they could actually really relate to and what is so wrong with relating to things like that? I don't see any wrong with that and I think that banning books is just wrong as to anything else that a person can really do in life. Books have been apart of my life and I just don't like people dissing / banning something that so many people in the world are also so passionate about as well and just as much as I am.
